How will my child be supervised?
Every full classroom will have a Lead Teacher and Teaching Assistant. There are some classrooms that have two assistant teachers
Do the adults engage children in conversations? Ask questions, when appropriate?
All staff actively engages children throughout the school day. Premier Early Learning Academy is a small school and all staff get to know the families and their individual needs.
Are there monthly lesson plans that are available?
Teachers do monthly lesson plans that are posted in each classroom for your review. There is a different plan for every month.
Do the adults read to the children at least once a day to encourage them to read, if they can read?
Teachers read aloud to children at least twice times a day. In the older classes, children are also given time to look at books during center time and throughout the day.
What are your hand washing procedures?
Adults and children wash their hands upon arrival, eating or handling food, and using the bathroom. Adults and children wash their hands after sneezing and coughing.
